The LM1600 short block is the foundation of our Coyote race engine program. Designed and built to easily handle applications in the 1000HP+ range. Fully race prepped, balanced and blueprinted.

Standard configuration comes in 9.5:1 compression ratio. Optional compression ratios available, but will add additional processing and build time.

L&M Engines LM1600 – 5.0L Coyote Short Block

The foundation of our Coyote race engine program starts with the LM1600. Designed, built and proven to handle applications exceeding the 1000HP range. Each short block is painstakingly assembled by our professional engine builders with exacting attention to detail. Measurements, clearances, and torque values are checked multiple times by at least two engine builders insuring everything meets our specifications. Fully race prepped, balanced, and blueprinted.

All new builds start with a fresh or seasoned 5.0L Coyote block directly from Ford.

New Ford 5.0L Boss Crankshaft

Same crankshaft used in the BOSS 302 and 2016 Cobra Jet; Forged 4130 Steel.
